It’s a pleasant Monday evening, about 7:45 p.m. and you’re dreading the battle that will be coming up in fifteen minutes. Eyeballing the clock out of the corner of your eye all you can do is hope that your children don’t know what time it is yet and all you can think about is how much you wish this was easier. For kids, particularly younger ones, going to bed can be the last bastion of resistance for the day, but it doesn’t always have to be a fight. You just have to make going to bed into something your child will look forward to instead of dreading. A simple shortcut to making bed more fun is changing the bed itself. Bunk beds A are a great way for kids of all ages to be able to have fun with getting ready to go to sleep.
Even if you only have one child, getting bunk beds could end up being a great option. Simply letting him or her choose whether they want to sleep on top or bottom can be an adventure. It also lets kids feel like they have control over some aspect of bedtime instead of feeling like the whole thing is forced on them. As a bonus, you could let them pick how each bunk is decorated with their favorite cartoon characters on their pillows, sheets or comforters with a different theme for each bed. That way it can feel like a different bed each night when they choose. Additionally, having a second bunk open gives you space for a sleepover without having to roll out the extra blankets for a mat or air mattress as your child grows older.
Having bunk beds in your home can make all the difference when it comes to settling in for the night. If you’re finding more trouble than it’s worth every time you announce the “B” word, consider getting a bunk bed as a novel solution to your problems.
